The Tester is a reality TV show introduced by Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) in 2010. The show is produced by 51 Minds, and serves as an amazing platform for the talented people who look forward to having career with SCEA as a game tester. The show has been widely appreciated by gaming enthusiasts and has successfully completed two seasons. As per the concept of the show, eleven or twelve contestants chosen from a number of applicants participate in various challenges, and the one emerging as winner receives the title of The Tester. The winner gets the position of game tester in quality assurance of SCEA, with a bonus amount of $5,000. A panel of three judges, created to test the participants, eliminates once contestant after each challenge to get the eventual winner.

Centipede was produced by Atari back in 1980 and was played by lots of kids who were skipping school to spend more time getting high scores that they could show off to their buddies during lunch hour.
